What is the chemical nature of bacterial cell wall?

Ans:- The bacterial cell wall contains acetyl glucosamine (AGA or NAG) and acetyl muramic acid (NAM or AMA) (together called murein or mucopeptide or peptidoglycan) alongwith diaminopimelic acid which are found only in plants. The cell wall is non cellulosic and contains C, H, O, N.
